Kanji Stories is a Japanese learning app that helps you remember each kanji through memorable stories, intuitive writing practice, and smart review scheduling. It’s designed to make learning fast and enjoyable.

Unlike rote memorization apps, Kanji Stories engages both your imagination and motor memory.

No. You can start studying right away. Your progress is kept on the device; signing in to an account is what backs it up.

Free covers all of JLPT N5: every N5 kanji, plus the radicals and supporting characters those lessons are built from. Lessons for N4 and above are what the upgrade opens.

Premium is what the app’s own upgrade screen lists:

Your study streak and heatmap are free and always your own numbers. It is the statistics screen that shows sample data until you subscribe.

Syncing needs both premium and an account.

Over 2,000 kanji spanning JLPT N5 through N1, each with its meanings, readings and a story, together with the radicals and components they are built from.

Absolutely. The app introduces kanji gradually, starting with simpler characters and their building blocks (radicals). Each new kanji connects to what you’ve already learned, so you build understanding layer by layer.

Yes. All kanji data and your progress are stored locally for fast access.

Sync to the cloud happens when you are online, on a premium account you are signed in to.

Kanji Stories is available on Android and iOS. Syncing between devices needs premium and the same account signed in on each.

Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore in the top bar. Purchases are tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so restoring works on any device signed in to the same store account. If it does not come back, write to support@fluido.llc.

In the app: Settings → Delete account. It removes the account and erases all cloud progress. You need to be signed in for the option to be available.
